It's got to be tough when the Mayor of Vancouver is an outright liar.

It's just a damned shame, really.

A political career, soon to be snuffed out, that started with such promise.

Now, desperation is starting to sink in. Desperation that the CRC is over,.  Desperation that the bridge contractor this slimeball is working for will lay him off when the senate kills the CRC funding and he gets crushed for re-election.  Desperation that the voters will kick his ass to the curb just like he kicked his lie-from-the-beginning-tolls-scam to the curb as soon as he could.

I'm hearing that Leave-it already knows it's over... that the money ain't moving out of the Senate any time real soon and the fed window is going to slam shut on his dreams of screwing us... Leave-it wandering around the senate, BEGGING those people to move the money.

How's it feel, Timmy?

I know it ain't happening.  In fact, the best is yet to come.  Maybe you know that as well... but to lie in writing?  To lie about the positions of key senators concerning tolls?  What kind of a moron are you, anyway?

Well, THAT is just, plain, Stupid.

With a capital S.

Here's how that works:

Good Morning,

Below is an exchange of Emails between Hiz Honor Mayor,” I was against bridge tolls before I was for them”  Leavitt, Yours Truly, Senator’s Don Benton, and Ann Rivers.

In response to my Did You Know #2 Exposing the True Cost of Bridge Tolls, Hiz Honor found it necessary to advise me in Capital Letters that Senator Don Benton and Senator Ann Rivers (both Republicans) supported Bridge Tolls.  It is amazing how some politicians change their spots after being elected.  The Good Mayor must have forgotten that during Governor Chris’  run for Governor Hiz Honor, clinging to the coat tails of well know Republican Dino Rossi, he was pretending to be a Republican.  I can still see him at a fund raiser introducing Dino Rossi.

As you can see from Senator’s Benton’s email sent 2/28 at 4:24 PM and Senator River’s email sent 2/28 at 5:27 PM, they have made it quite clear that they do not support Bridge tolls or the CRC as currently proposed.

Next Hiz Honor appeared with his email of 2/28 to chastise the senator by asking them to return some of the tax dollars Vancouver sends to Olympia.  Actually, Hiz honor would have more dollars to fix our roads and highways if he and his current Gang of 4 and his predecessor did not waste our hard earned tax dollars on boondoggles such as the financially failing Hilton Hotel and Convention Center, eight financially failing publicly owned parking garages, and outrageous property tax kickbacks to developers in the form of tax breaks.

Next in his BTW sent on 2/28 at 5:23 PM email Hiz Honor attempts to take me to the Woodshed because
a.    I am a conservative
b.    Stating that I refused to answer his question:

(a)    Would I prefer an increase in sales tax, property tax or business tax?  You’re Honor that is like asking someone if they have stopped beating their wife.

Mayor Leavitt I am somewhat older than you and can recite chapter and verse of why Revenue Enhancement (taxes to us non-politicians) must be increased.   I can also  answer or state with certainty that Infrastructure Investment does not, has not and will not over the long haul create permanent  jobs. It has been a failure ever since FDR tried it.  Once the boondoggle is complete the jobs go away and you ‘spend and tax, to create more jobs. BTW didn't you just agreed to sell one parking garage valued at 3 million tax payer dollars for 1 Million and are planning on building 5 more if you are successful in bringing Portland’s Financially Failing Light Rail Gravy/Crime to Vancouver.   As for tolls you apparently did not read the email that started this chain of emails, the True Cost of Tolls. It will be excessive.

Your Honor, I  think that I have answered your questions.  Would you be so kind and answer mine?

a.    Why can’t the bridge be built without Light Rail?
b.    If congestion is a problem (it is not in my opinion) why not build a 3rd bridge?

And finally, your 2/28 5.44 PM email sent to Senator Ann Rivers (R)  thanking  her for setting me straight on her position on bridge tolls.  I knew what her position was; you apparently are the one who was unaware of her position.

As for  three years of community engagement, technical studies, independent expert reviews, and approval from the Feds. Community engagement has not been with the people. It has been between members of the Spend and Tax Crowd.  We, the people, have been excluded from two- way conversations. Our no votes have been ignored;    Forensic information provided by Tiffany Couch has been ignored. Failure to communicate with the United States Coast Guard has been a disaster. And although Federal Funding has not yet been secured, approximately 200,000 million dollars has already been spent without proper accounting and transparency.

And, yes, I have read Senate Bill 5502.  I have to agree with Senator Benton.  Just in case Light Rail proponents ram light rail and bridge tolls down our throats Senate Bill 5502 will at least save some money for those of us on this side of the river.  BTW your honor it would be nice if you would read our Initiative Petition, allow our petition to be placed on the ballot and “Let The People Decide”.

My sincere thanks to Senators Benton and Rivers for listening to what the people are saying.

And so it goes,

Larry Patella

Good Morning,

DID YOU KNOW #2

The TRUE COST OF BRIDGE TOLLS!!!!

Although we are repeatedly told that the CRC's Light Rail Platform will cost us 3.5 Billion Dollars, CRC already has a plan in place to pay for the 5.5 Billion in tolls. Below you will see a list of components, like State Contributions and Federal Dollars, but note that their own tolling revenue schedules are planning for 3.3 billion in toll collections.

CONSTRUCTION COST:

Total Capital Cost (Cost to Construct)                $3. 507, 000, 000
Total additional Cost (Interest, Repairs, etc.)      $2, 032, 305, 306

Total Anticipated Project Cost                            $5, 539, 305, 396 (total over 30 years)

PLANNED FUNDING SOURCES:

State of Washington                                          $   450, 000, 000.00
State of Oregon                                                $   450, 000, 000.00
New Start Grant                                                $   850, 000, 000.00
Federal Discretionary                                        $   400, 000, 000.00   (Non-existing program)
TOLLING REVENUES                                          $3, 353, 969, 345. 00 (Per CRC Finance Plan)

Total Anticipated Funding Sources                       $5, 503, 969, 345.00

To give you some idea as to how much Bridge Tolls will INCREASE OVER THE YEARS, you need to take a look at the CRC Debt Service Schedule.

Starting in 2019 when tolls are expected to begin, the Net Yearly Tolling Starting at $62, 373, 695 .00 will, without voter approval and annual increases, grow to $109, 676, 530. 00 being picked from your and or your children's/grandchildren's pockets in the year of 2054.

Over that period of time the spend and tax pocket pickers will have picked $3,353,969.345 Billion dollars out of your pockets.

It could get worse.  With Historical Cost Overruns of 30 to 200 % it is my personal opinion that total cost of the CRC could reach $10 billion or more dollars

with your help we can stop the wasteful spending of your hard earned tax dollars to build a Multi-Billion Dollar Light Rail Platform.  You can help us get your Stop Light Rail Initiative Petition of the Ballot.

Currently Our Stop Light Rail Petition is under review by the Kelso, Washington Superior Court. We need your help in getting it through the court systems.

If you want to keep the Pocket Pickers out of your pockets and keep down town Vancouver from being destroyed Please send a donation to your Legal defense fund.

Make your check Payable to:
“Legal Defense For Stop Light Rail Initiative (Stephen Pidgeon), and mail it to Debbie Peterson, P.O. Box 872204, Vancouver WA 98687.

Tim,

NO I did not, I will personally with this email ask them.   But I don’t.  As  most people in Clark County do not.  But that is not the issue,  the issue is why are the people being lied to?  There is a lot of difference between 3.5 billion and 5.3 billion along plus Cost Over runs.  Why are you afraid to  let the people decide?
Also I am certain that this boondoggle is going to pick billions out of our pockets and either destroy downtown or force business to move out so that the developers can take over with huge Agenda 21 property tax breaks.

Look forward to seeing you on Monday.

Respectfully,

Larry Patella

Tim,

I have no idea what gave you the idea that I support tolling for the CRC.  I DO NOT support the CRC, which means I DO NOT support tolling of a bridge that has already been tolled, and paid for.

Sincerely,

Don

PS – If there has been any communication from me or my office that has lead you to believe that I support tolling, please indicate which communication that was so that I may correct the error.

For the record Larry, I am not opposed to tolls.  I was raised in an area where tolling was a way of life.  I am, however, opposed to the CRC and tolling of this project since it has become a nightmarish story that continues to unravel. This project does nothing to reduce congestion or increase freight mobility while shunting growth of upriver economic development. I feel that I have taken on the role of protecting my constituency from this project.   There are too many concerns to list here – I believe we need a project – but this isn’t it.  ~ Ann

Go get 'em Senators!

BTW, I certainly don't take issue with their positions about sooty of tolling, in general, because it is a "conservative" philosophy of governance....those who use will pay part of the cost; those who don't use don't pay. And, in my research, tolling is the least costly alternative for the local share. I've asked you before if you'd prefer an increase in sales tax, property tax our business taxes...and smartly, you've refused to answer. Why? I hope it's because you understand that a) infrastructure investment creates opportunities for jobs growth from the private sector, and b) tolling is indeed less costly to Clark County residents than all the other options, and c) employers are unlikely to expand and create more jobs as traffic congestion mounts, and d) your grandchildren deserve to live in a Vancouver that is investing in their livelihoods.

Best, Tim

Senator, thank you for setting the record straight regarding your position on tolling with Mr. Patella.

We'll disagree about the merits and value and need for this project. I'll simply stand by three years of community engagement, technical studies, independent expert reviews, and approval from the Feds.

Larry, I encourage you to review Senate Bill 5502 for details.

Best to all,

Tim

Here's The Liar in action:

Egomaniacal Mayor McSlime announces re-election bid: "Arrogance will out."

The lowest life-form in local elective politics today announce that his sado-masochistic tendencies forced him to run for re-election.

"I enjoy getting pounded by those disgusted by my lies, my lack of integrity, my complete lack of leadership; my sheer, unadulterated arrogance (second only to Jim Moeller's version) and perhaps the tinest ear in politics," McSlime spewed.  "My votes violating ethics laws for my employer are a real hoot as well," he groaned.

"Look, I get that a lot of the people out there believe I'm a lying scumbag for fooling all of your suckers into thinking I ACTUALLY, REALLY opposed tolls when I ran last time," McSlime babbled.  "But that was just to fool you idiots into voting for me," he giggled.

McSlime, who desperately needed a fake issue to separate himself from Boyce "No Choice" Poolyard, who lived on the bizarre idea that the people of Clark County needed to be enslaved over his bridge/loot rail fetish, decided to become the prototypical lying scumbag by claiming for months that he was opposed to tolls.

This blog knew he was lying, and repeatedly called the little worm out for his lies.  Unfortunately, not enough people cared to hear the truth, so they voted Mayor McScumbucket into office, where he immediately flipped, lying that he had learned what he damned well already knew while serving on the city council.

In announcing his re-election, McScummer claimed he "would not be bullied."

Hopefully, he'll come to find out that we won't be bullied by scum like him, either.

Frankly, I'm relieved.  This blog and the "Tim "The Liar" Leave-it Blog are going to pound him like a Salisbury steak.  The only question is this: will the people, obviously proven to be fooled as recently as November by re-electing scum like Jim Moeller, continue to support a lying slimebag with the integrity of a concentration camp guard for Mayor?

Tune in and find out.

(And by the way, McSlime, it takes a genuine fruit fly to announce a re-election bid on Valentine's Day.)

Leavitt out to screw us all: by all means, jack up the gas tax.

Not satisfied by trying to screw us with his CRC scam, SW Washington's elected worm comes out with this garbage:

Washington mayors, including Vancouver's Leavitt, call for gas tax hike

Mayor Tim Leavitt of Vancouver, left
The mayors of more than 40 cities across Washington, including Tim Leavitt of Vancouver, have sent a letter to Gov. Jay Inslee and legislative leaders, urging them to consider an 8-cent-per-gallon gas tax as a way to help pay for transportation needs.
The letter from the Mayor's Transportation Forum was sent Wednesday. Among the signees were Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn, as well as the mayors of Bellingham, Federal Way, Tacoma, Olympia and Walla Walla.
In addition to the gas tax increase, the letter suggests a motor vehicle excise tax increase of up to 1.5 percent that counties could enact by public vote or by a vote by county commissions, and the increase to the vehicle license fee from $20 to $40. The license fee could also be increased either by public vote or by a vote of local councils.
The mayors say more than $3 billion is needed to maintain roadways and bridges in the state over the next 10 years. Democrats in the state House are expected to introduce their transportation proposals next week.
Naturally, every leftist scumbag mayor wants to screw us... what else is new?

But Mayor McFly shooting himself in the foot this close to his re-electio0n announcement?

He's not only slimy... he's stupid.

Leave-it running for re-election? Let's get this party started!

The slimiest politician in SW Washington, a liar par-excellence, is likely to announce his re-election bid tomorrow... and this scribe sincerely hopes he does.

Tim "The Liar" Leavitt has earned his nickname by lying... repeatedly... to get elected last time he ran.

Most of his shtick was a made-up issue to separate himself from Royce "No choice" Pollard.

Both leave-it and I knew he was a lying scumbag: I tried to warn everyone but few would listen.  It is to this community's misfortune that he was elected, and shortly thereafter accomplished the flip that has since made him famous.

He has become the CRC's bitch.  Of course, he works for a CRC contractor so every vote he's ever taken in favor of the CRC represents a legal violation of our state ethics laws, where-in you cannot benefit, directly or indirectly from any vote you take.

The democratian will endorse him; after all, by becoming the CRC's bitch, he became their bitch as well because in Columbian land, the money sewer that is this massive rip-off is incapable of doing any wrong, and cannot be held to a standard approaching anyone... or anything... with an "R" after it's name.

Leave-it is the slimiest of the slimy.   Democrats will vote for him because while he has, on occasion, claimed to be in the GOP, he's as much in the GOP as Marc Boldt... meaning, not at all.

And that's why I'm restarting this blog... to keep people up to date on what this scumbag HAS done and IS doing.

So, tomorrow, I'll get my shot-record updated, and then I am coming after him with everything I've legally got.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if he won: after all the same idiots who voted Jim Moeller back into office voted this moron in as well.

But it won't be because the information defining this scuzball wasn't available.  And with any luck at all, this embarrassment to our community will soon become a footnote, just like others who have turned a deaf ear to the people they would govern.

The bizarre thought processes of a Yakima Millionaires supporter.

.
Folks, a great many who should know better have lost their ability to reason and are being bent over by the numbers in support of the idea of enriching the Yakima Millionaires... all at the expense of the hundreds of thousand of us who have no interest or desire in making rich people richer at our expense... so the few, who can avoid paying anything of consequence can screw those of us who want nothing to do with their post high school baseball scam.

Not even I can make this up:
Letter: Embrace Bears … baseball, that is

I have a few comments regarding the Yakima Bears relocating to Vancouver. Many residents think it is a bad idea due to the potential tax increase. However, I personally think the Vancouver Bears could be great asset to our city.

I actually grew up in Yakima, so you could say I grew up with the Bears. Baseball games are great bonding experiences for families. Wouldn’t it be much more convenient to drive a few miles to watch a baseball game rather than to Tacoma or Seattle? Sure, it’s not Major League Baseball, but it’s still just as exciting.
We should embrace the Vancouver Bears with open arms. It could have a significantly positive effect on our economy as well. According to the Yakima Herald Republic, the Yakima area will lose about $206,000 in local economic impact when the team is relocated.

Sure, we will have to pay a few more taxes at first, but increasing our local economy would be a great thing in the long run. Go Bears!

Sara Berghoff
Vancouver
So... to gain $206,000 in "economic impact," this typical Millionaires kool aid drinker wants us to waste $1 million per year... without even being asked.

There's something wrong with a thought process that concludes spending making $1 while losing $5 makes any kind of sense at all... when we can just keep all of the $5.

But then, those shilling this manure pile have never really been concerned about either us... or making sense.

And Sara, as always... if you like baseball so much, then go up to Longview to watch it.  They've got a barely above little league team up there you can check out for close to free... and it won't cost the taxpayers of Clark County a thing.
.

A tale of two articles: Democrat State Treasurer Jim McIntyre on the CRC.

.
We all know the local rag has a bridger/loot rail fetish that would make a porn star blush.  And here's how they twist the story to protect themselves.

In their softball cover up of the latest Crossing debacle, these are the quotes from and concerning the Democrat State Treasurer, Jim McIntyre.
New requirements from Washington State Treasurer James McIntyre forbidding annual toll increases from being included in tolling assumptions represent a $318 million hit to toll bond proceeds. Combined with the consultants’ recommended 15 to 25 percent cut in projected toll revenues, the total shortfall would be $468 million to $598 million.
The CRC was banking on an annual 2.5 percent increase in tolls; other Washington tolling models have also included annual increases. But revenues on projects such as the Tacoma Narrows Bridge have fallen below projections, partly because the Washington Transportation Commission has not increased tolls as expected.
“That is a policy we’ve taken on toll financing that is not directed at this particular project,” McIntyre said Wednesday. “It’s recognizing that we’re going to need to rely on tolls to finance most major transportation projects moving forward. We need to be careful and reasonably cautious about how we do (tolling) to make sure that we build the confidence of the taxpayers and toll payers.”
OK.  Fine.  But that isn't all he said... not by a long shot.

Here's what something approaching a REAL newspaper wrote concerning Treasurer McIntyre::
Washington State Treasurer Jim McIntire has voiced displeasure with several aspects of financial plans developed for the CRC and two other big transportation projects in the Puget Sound area, saying they're too optimistic and perhaps not realistic.

Most notably, McIntire is not comfortable with the escalating debt service the CRC would pay during the 30-year life of the bonds.

Under the CRC's initial plan, annual debt payments would soar from $17.7 million in 2016 to a peak of $222.5 million at the end of the bond's lifespan.

McIntire compared the debt structure to the worst sort of toxic mortgage from the housing boom. The loans turned disastrous for the banks, the borrowers and the U.S. economy when millions of homeowners couldn't keep up with the onerous loan terms and defaulted.  (My emphasis)

McIntire argues that Washington transportation projects should strive for "level debt service," more predictable and safer.

For the CRC to pay that ever-increasing debt service, it is counting on significant traffic growth and escalating tolls. The CRC's initial plan called for increasing the toll 2.5 percent every year for the 30-year life of the bonds.

McIntire doesn't like this aspect of the plan either, saying that annual toll hikes may not be politically feasible.

"I would argue that it's a pipedream," McIntire said last week. "I think we need to be upfront with people. We need level debt service and level tolls."
One has to ask:  Why did the despicable rag masquerading as a newspaper leave this out?

We all know why.  They want what they want, no matter how many or who they screw to get it.  And if they don't print it, well, it really wasn't said, and these slimeballs certainly don't want to be smacked upside the face with McIntyre's description of this horrific, fraudulent scam they advocate so strongly.

Our newspaper is despicable.  That they would keep this out is inexcusable, but typical of the scum running the show.

This entire project is criminal.  It's enriching the few at our expense... while morons like Kitzhaber keep lying about the numbers of jobs this scam will create, insisting still that the number is 20,000... when that scam has been thoroughly disproven since the number is closer to 2,000.... max.

Why do the bridgers/looters have to lie?  Why does the local bird cage liner have to lie, if nothing else, through failing to provide the whole picture?

We all know.  And those shilling all of this crap should be fired and removed from office.  I'd call them a disgrace, but that does a disservice to the word.

The democratian's failure to take the lead on these crimes is typical of a rag that does not give a damn for the community... but instead, insists on supplanting OUR judgment with theirs as if it were somehow superior...

No matter how badly we get hurt.
.
