Fascinating hypocrisy by the democratian: Ridgefield military wife’s blog a ‘secret’ no more.

.
When it comes to taking care of friends and doing everything they can to spitefully destroy enemies, the democratian is hard to beat.

The democratian published a nice puff piece about Lori Volkman's Military Spouse Blog, which is as fine a piece of work as I ever seen concerning that particular meme.

So, what's my beef?  What's the problem?

This:
“Some portions are rather raw in terms of the emotions we’ve been experiencing,” said Volkman, 40. “But it’s important for the public to see what sacrifices military families go through.”
Volkman, who works for the Clark County Prosecutor’s Office, is more likely to introduce herself as an attorney than as a blogger. But in the hours after her 5-year-old son Cooper and 8-year-old daughter Olivia go to bed, she taps away at a keyboard as a sort of therapy.

Really?

Her blog can be emotionally "raw?"  Seriously?

She "taps away at a keyboard as a sort of therapy."

Seriously?

And the rag loves her for it?

Gee.  I wonder...

The odd part, of course, is that my blog started the same way, for the same reasons.  The only thing different?

The subject matter.

I rage against the machine of political arrogance, incompetence and tyranny; efforts fostered by the local rag which continually fails to apply anything close to the same level of scrutiny to their "friends" and agenda "water carriers" as they do to those wise enough to oppose their particular utopian vision... most recently actively engaging in a cover up for former state representative Jim Jacks, whose misconduct-driven resignation from the House of Representative continues to remain unaddressed by the local rag.

The hypocrisy is clear.

I have to say that I have no clue as to who Volkman is.  Never met her... never saw her.  She works out of democrat thug Prosecutor TV Tony Golik's shop, and the rag's love affair with Golik was, well, bizarre.

But the fact is this:  My meager effort, which focuses on the abrogation of responsibility by both elected officials and the local excuse for what passes as a daily newspaper, flew under their radar for a number of years; frequently used as an internal story source and now, on track for an over all 60,000 or so visit year... visited by the rag several times a day...  and personal piƱata of Lou Brancaccio.

So, why the free publicity for Volkman, as well deserved as it may be, while the rag's efforts to heap scorn and derision on me continue?

Well, gee.  I wonder.

But there can be no doubt as to their motivation.

More democratian blather: In Our View: ‘Bridging the Gap’

.
As the muted cry for a vote on this horrific project becomes a long-distant echo, the rag continues it's propaganda onslaught with this latest bridge puff piece.

It's standard shlock, once again failing to mention the massive opposition to replacing the bridge and once again, failing to take the opportunity to demand a county wide vote... and in this instance, once again, failing to mention loot rail's crushing defeats at the polls... and once again, lying about the massive, approaching $10 BILLION cost... the massive tolls that will cripple the low income commuters... the $100,000,000 hole that will be blown into our local economy every year (to being with... increases in tolls to come) for perpetuity... the failure to address the many negative impacts to families and local small business.

Odd how these inconvenient truths don't seem to rise to the level of importance that rates their publication.  Odd, but not surprising.

Instead, they jump up and down and declare that when two people who don't live here, who won't have to pay the tolls in question (a common trait among the vast majority of bridgers/looters: neither of these clowns will get stuck with the bill) who, apparently, threw darts and hit a design on the board have somehow caused this rip off that's vaporized $130 million so far, have caused a "leap forward."

That's a crock, of course, and it's the kind of thing the rag has been bombarding our community with for years.

In My View: figures don't lie, but liars figure.  And just about any democratian article fawning over their bridge fetish shows that.
.

Eyman's latest, I-1125 might be just what we need to screw the bridge up.

.
Man, the leftists are going nuts in Seattle and Olympia over Tim Eyman's latest effort: I-1125, which will require some major changes in how these slimeballs do business concerning tolls.

The timing for this is perfect, since it jams a series of sticks into the spokes of the arrogant bastards who don't care or listen to the people.

What I know for sure is that if it's pissing off the state treasurer and pissing off the former transportation secretary... neither of whom will have to pay these moronic tolls... then it's something we need to do.

Here's the lowdown, but for impacts here locally, just substitute "CRC" for SR 520... and you'll get the gist.

Eyman initiative could throw off bridge-toll plans

Washington state's momentum toward widespread, variable highway tolls might screech to a halt if professional initiative promoter Tim Eyman's marquee measure wins this year.

Seattle Times transportation reporter

Washington state's momentum toward widespread, variable highway tolls might screech to a halt if professional initiative promoter Tim Eyman's marquee measure wins this year.

Initiative 1125 seeks to forbid tolling the Interstate 90 floating bridge to help cover a $2 billion shortfall on the $4.6 billion Highway 520 bridge replacement project.

State law currently forbids this sort of dollar-shifting, but lawmakers and state transportation managers have talked enough about changing that law that Eyman says an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

"Initiatives aren't just about laws, but about lobbying the Legislature to do things the people want," he says. Eyman announced Sunday he will launch a signature drive.

I-1125 also would require that tolls be uniform all day — instead of priced higher in hours when traffic is heavy. Such variable tolls were just approved by the 2011 Legislature on the old Highway 520 bridge, to begin this year. Variable tolls also are planned for the proposed Highway 99 tunnel.

State Treasurer Jim McIntire criticized the measure in an interview Tuesday. "I think it poses a serious threat to our ability to finance projects using tolls," he said.

First, I-1125 would require the Legislature to set rates, instead of delegating that duty to the appointed Transportation Commission. McIntyre said bondholders prefer the stability that comes from an independent body, which can set tolls high enough to pay debts, instead of lawmakers subject to political winds. So I-1125 would drive up financing costs, McIntyre said.

Eyman said: "If Gregoire's unelected commission set tolls at $10 one-way, the people couldn't do anything about it. But with elected officials, they must be sensitive to the people."

Second, McIntire says I-1125 "would effectively kill" completion of the Highway 520 project, because the state needs some future I-90 toll to close a $2 billion gap and complete the Montlake interchange and Portage Bay bridge in Seattle.

Of course, these are the same clowns who've stood by and done nothing while $400 Million has vaporized for the 520... millions of dollars wasted without one shovel of dirt getting turned on this pig, an even BIGGER waste of money then our local version.

Passage of this initiative will destroy bridge replacement/loot rail financing down here... and what could possibly be better than that?

Is Herrera paying attention?

.
I will never forget Jaime Herrera standing there, telling me at the Red Lion at the Quay that her going to school, her multiple internships of a few weeks duration, her 10 year long absence from the area was "the same thing as serving in the military."

I knew, at that second, that Barbie was unfit to serve in elective office, because anyone who felt that way was a clueless moron.

After the UBL hit, I've got to wonder... what was her take? And does she still feel the same way?

Unfortunately (Or perhaps, fortunately) we don't know, because, well, she hasn't deigned to tell us.

Some might say that her silence is golden. I believe it to be part of her continuing pattern of cowardice based on her ongoing, multiple failures to take any position on any of the major issues confronting us that don't sound like they were cranked out by the House GOP talking point shop.

What's strangest for me is that about every other elected official, including those like Babs who never felt highly enough about their country to serve it in uniform, down to the moronic at the city counsel level seems to have weighed in.

But not our congresscritter.

Why am I not surprised?

Interesting picture from the VanVoice Blotter.

.
What's it all mean? The set up could be... shattering!

Up to this point, I didn't know the VanVoice even had a blog... but they do, and it's here.

And, while I may not always agree with them, I rarely always agree with any blog... so I'm adding them to the blog list.

Welcome aboard!

More pathetic Columbian bias: I-5 bridge lift leads to injury accident

.
We already know the rag has lied about the bridge, loot rail, polling and the complete lack of support within the community for any of this, outside the downtown mafia, Identity Vancouver and the special interests who stand to make a fortune off of us for this.

The rag, of course, has never missed the opportunity to slant a story, any story, in their despicable attempt to sway the plain-spoken, overwhelming, stated-at-the-polls opposition to their loot rail.

And today is no exception.

There was an accident on I-5.  Because a vehicle was traveling too fast to stop in time, it rear-ended another vehicle that had been stopped for one of the infrequent bridge lifts we cheerfully put up with in preference to wasting billions and billions of dollars and generational tolls instead.

The headline:

I-5 bridge lift leads to injury accident

Yeah.

Like beds cause babies.

And kitchens cause obesity.

And frogs wouldn't bump their butts every time they jumped if they just had wings.

The entire cause of the accident, start to finish, was this:

Inattention, speed listed as cause

That much, of course, is correct.  The cause of the accident, as is typically the case for rear ending someone in a vehicle, was going too fast and not paying close enough attention.

Had the driver of the vehicle that caused the accident been going slower and paying attention... like everyone else there who wasn't involved in an accident...  there wouldn't have been any accident.

What "lead" to the accident was the clown who caused it.  Not the bridge lift.

The clown who wrote this knows that.  But that's not how the democratian rolls.

Nope.  This was another chance to lie, and they took it.

Why am I not surprised?
Two Vancouver residents were injured Sunday afternoon in a rear-end accident that resulted after an Interstate 5 drawbridge lift.
Deanna G. Parks, 41, and Krystal L. Harbison, 14, were being treated at Southwest Washington Medical Center, where a nursing supervisor said they were in satisfactory condition. They were complaining of neck and back pain.
The accident occurred about 1:15 p.m. in a southbound lane of Interstate 5 near Fourth Plain Boulevard. Traffic was very slow due to a previous drawbridge lift. Parks and Harbison were riding in a 2008 Dodge Caliber driven by Andrew W. Parks, 37, of Vancouver and were stopped in the second lane from the right when the Dodge was struck in the rear by a 1998 Ford Mustang. The driver of the Mustang was identified as Norman H. Minninger, 49, of Vancouver.
Neither man was injured, but Minninger was cited for drivng too fast, according to the State Patrol. Both vehicles were damaged but driveable. Inattention and speed were listed by the investigating officer as the causes of the wreck.

Even MORE Columbian hypocrisy? Speculation for Jacks=bad; speculation for Rushworth=STORY?

.
As another in the series of endless weeks goes by without an explanation of the misconduct behind Jim Jacks' abrupt but forced departure from the state House of Representatives, we are presented with another in the endless series of examples which prove the following:

1.  The rag has no problem printing a story without proof OR a paper trail.
2.  The rag has no problem at all printing unverified information (they say as much) whenever they feel like it.
3.  They are protecting Jim Jacks and by extension, the democrats who provided them with a huge tax CUT while the rest of us have to suffer under a huge tax INCREASE.
4.  The rag refuses to engage in or allow or print the same types of things about Jacks.
5.  Brancaccio is a rank hypocrite as a result.

The rag printed a story today, if you can call it that (although tabloid journalism is typically an improvement over the usual Brancaccio product) with nothing there that equates to anything rising to the level of "news."

Briefly, it's about a guy who married someone half his age who failed to look beyond the body into history and to determine her background.  Turns out she has "issues," but that's neither here nor there.

The money quote?
Many of the details Pierpont gave can’t be verified, but he did fax the couple’s marriage certificate, along with pictures of the two of them together. He also knew the names of several of her family members.
"Can't be verified?"  Are you KIDDING me?

How come the details can be printed here without verification, but can't be printed with or about Jacks, even though so many know what happened?

What's the difference?

But more importantly...

... why the obvious hypocritical double standard?
.
